Alper Cezmi Özdemir

Biography

Alper Cezmi Özdemir completed his undergraduate education at Bahçeşehir University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. Having completed a minor programme in the Department of Sociology, Mr. Özdemir worked as a research assistant at the Center of Migration and Urban Studies (BAUMUS) at Bahçeşehir University between 2017-2019. He took part in the research on the Syrian refugees in Turkey and Turkey's refugee policy.

Mr. Özdemir gained his master's degree in International Relations at the University of Chicago, where he went as a Fulbright scholar in 2020. While in Chicago, he took part in academic projects on the propaganda strategies of militant organizations such as ISIS and al-Qaeda at the research center called Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST).
