Ömer Behram Özdemir

Biography

Ömer Behram Özdemir received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Canakkale 18 March University. Mr. Ozdemir was awarded a master’s degree in International Relations by Sakarya University, with his dissertation entitled “Separatist Nationalist Movements in Europe: Examples of IRA and ETA”. He is currently continuing his studies in the PhD programme in International Relations at Sakarya University.

From 2011 to 2020, he worked as a research assistant at Sakarya University at the Middle East Institute and the Faculty of Political Sciences. He has authored articles, book chapters and analyses on the Syrian civil war, non-state armed actors and foreign fighters. He has an advanced command of English and an intermediate command of French.
