The ORSAM Center is organizing online presentations of recent doctoral theses.
To increase scientific and research exchange between the Arab and Turkish academic communities, ORSAM will organize a periodic online program, twice a month (every 2 weeks), for the presentation of doctoral theses (published & unpublished) by researchers from different Arab countries in humanitarian and social specialties (History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Media, Law, International Relations, Education, Culture and literature). The presentations can be done in Arabic, English or Turkish. Priority will be given to theses which were approved during the past two years, and which discuss contemporary issues and include vision for the future.
The researcher will provide a summary of his/her thesis for 30 minutes. Then, there will be a Q&A section to discuss and comment on the topic by the moderator and the online audience.
After review of the submitted thesis and presentations, ORSAM will consider publishing the best dissertations in their original language and even might translate these into Turkish.
